The Parents' Association of Newtown Upper National School would like to invite principals, teachers, parents and Boards of Management to attend this public meeting where they will be given an opportunity to make comments, if they wish.  Local politicians and media have been invited.

Ms Breda Fitzgerald, Principal of Newtown Upper National School, will give a talk on the devastating effects the proposed changes would have on rural schools.

Monday 30th January at 8 pm – Park Hotel, Dungarvan

The Parents' Association of Whitechurch National School, Cappagh invite you to a public meeting which will be attended by senior public representatives – Paudie Coffey, Ciara Conway & Seamus Healy TD's.  You will have a chance to voice your concerns over the Government cut backs in our Primary Education systems.

Comments and questions raised will be presented to the local representatives to bring to the Minister of Education.  This meeting will raise the profile of all our schools and ensure that the voice of all rural schools in Waterford will be taken to Dáil Éireann.

Monday, January 16, 2012

A very important public meeting regarding cutbacks in small schools will be held this Wednesday 18th January 2012 in the ballroom of the Park Hotel, Dungarvan at 8 pm.

While Rathgormack N.S. has not been directly affected by the proposed cutbacks at present, it could have implications either directly or indirectly in the future.

Guest speaker at the meeting will be Breda Fitzgerald who is originally from our parish and an active representative of the INTO (Irish National Teachers Organisation).

We would encourage as many parents and teachers as possible to attend this meeting.
